orchidmedia provides Junk mail folders to filter unsolicited spam messages.

orchidmedia automatically places messages which have not been sent from your contact lists in junk mail folders.  This is a simple but highly effective method of ensuring that you do not receive messages in your inbox, which may be offensive or dangerous to view.   Simply empty the junk mail folders to remove spam from orchidmedia without viewing items.

Safer Viewing

orchidmedia allows tight control over the display of html content found in email messsages, to increase your security against malicious email. orchidmedia's provides an integrated Web browser to provide complete control over how potentially dangerous web content found in email messages can be displayed and used within the software. You can send and receive email messages in multi-part content types using Plain, Rich text or HTML formatted text, and switch between types with the click of a button.

Instant Messaging

Orchidmedia provides Instant Messaging using any MSN account. This allows you to chat with anyone using Microsoft Messenger software or a MSN compatible IM Client.  One of the advantages of using orchidmedia for Instant Messaging is the ability to maintain your Instant Messaging contacts with all your other contacts, so that you can quickly create Instant Messaging contacts and vice-versa.

A fully featured web browser to navigate and display web content. orchidmedia provides a Tabbed windows feature for web pages, and you can maintain internet bookmarks, search queries, and downloaded files in the relational file storage system.  Special popup menus and tools are provided to control file downloads, web page display, and internet zone securitty for content.   You can block popup windows, and determine when the browser creates a new tabbed window to stop malicious web content from restricting access to the computer.
